Crews battle brush fire in Burlington County

Emergency crews in Burlington County, New Jersey, battled a brush fire Wednesday afternoon.

SKYFOX was over the scene as helicopters dropped water on flames along the Garden State Parkway in Bass River, New Jersey.

As of 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, the fire has been 75 percent contained. It is in a grassy area in the Wildlife Management Area in Port Republic. The area is mostly marshy.

According to officials, the situation is fully contained the fire will go down to 50 acres. It should be contained shortly. The smoke from the fire caused one lane of the Garden State Pkwy to shut down for a time. Unknown how long this lasted. Also, the exit into Port Republic from the hwy was shut down for a time.
