Criticized for Bikini-Clad Recruitment Video, University of Miami's Delta Gamma Shows Different Side
MIAMI, FL (STORFUL) - University of Miami's Delta Gamma Beta Tau chapter released a recruitment video on January 6 featuring bikini-clad students soaking up the sun, playing water sports, laughing on a yacht and skateboarding oceanside.
The video has started to go viral, attracting strong reactions from former sorority members, men ogling the young women, and opponents of the recruitment tactic who find the video to be salacious.
Many have pointed out that the video lacks clips of the girls engaging in any academic or philanthropic projects.
However, the group's Facebook page shows a more complex view of the sorority, spotlighting members' academic achievements and their philanthropy project for the blind, Service for Sight.
