DA: Girlfriend of Bucks County bomb suspect charged as co-conspirator
BUCKS COUNTY, Pa.(WTXF) - The girlfriend of a Milford Township man accused in a series of explosions in Upper Bucks County has been charged as a co-conspirator as part of the ongoing investigation.
Authorities say Tina May Smith, 31, was arraigned Friday afternoon on a long list of felony and misdemeanor conspiracy counts related to the unlawful possession or manufacturing of weapons of mass destruction.
According to the Bucks County District Attorney's Office, Smith of driving while her boyfriend David Surman Jr. threw improvised explosive devices from an open window of a vehicle. Smith told police she was with Surman on three such occasions, the criminal complaint says.
Bail has been set at 10 percent of $1 million dollars.
