Dog finds comfort in stuffed toys after heartbreaking loss of her puppies

A dog in Atlanta, Georgia, is recovering after losing her puppies, finding some solace in her stuffed animals to help her through her loss.

In the video, Kiah can be seen cuddling her stuffed toys, as she curls up in her bed. Her foster carer, Caroline Claffey, said the toys make her feel better, but "her spirits are still low."

Claffey said her favorite toy vibrates and hums lullabies. "The vibration makes it feel more real to her," she said.

According to a GoFundMe page set up to cover medical costs, Kiah was found by Cherokee County Humane Society (CCHS) wandering the streets and pregnant. She was found to have been shot at some point, and the puppies in her belly had been dead for several days. Kiah underwent an emergency C-section to remove the puppies, saving her life, and is currently residing with Claffey, a regular foster with CCHS.
