A farmer from Scotland came up with a pretty unique and impressive marriage proposal for his longtime girlfriend.

John Jardine proposed to Hayley Thompson by carving the phrase, "Will you marry me?" into a field.

He posted the photo to Facebook on October 3, showing the field and Thompson's hand with a ring on it alongside the caption, "she said yes."

The Aberdeen Press and Journal reports that Jardine used a cultivator to cut the words into the harvested wheat field.

To lure his girlfriend of seven years to a nearby hill overlooking the field, he told her he needed help looking for some sheep. Upon seeing the message, she immediately said yes, according to Storyful.
