Gloucester fire leaves resident displaced from damaged home

CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ (WTXF) - A fire has left a resident without a home in Gloucester Township.

The incident happened overnight Tuesday on the 500 block of Hollywood Drive. The Gloucester Township Police Departments dispatch center received multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting a house fire at approximately 4:24 am.

The arriving officers and fire apparatus reported a single family residence that was fully involved and required an additional response from multiple fire agencies.

The additional fire personnel were also needed to provide relief due to cold overnight temperature.

One resident was home at the time of the fire and there were no reported injuries to the homeowner or fire personnel.

The Red Cross was contacted and are assisting the homeowner with shelter. Although the cause of the fire is not known, it is under the investigation of the Camden County Fire Marshal's Office and Gloucester Township Police Department.

The fully involved fire was brought under control within forty-five minutes of the first initial call.
