Groom Granted Weekend Bail for Wedding, Skips Town After Saying 'I Do'

(FoxNews Insider)- A runaway groom bolted on his new wife and jumped bail shortly after the couple said "I do," authorities say.

Authorities say that Murat Shomshe was granted weekend release from prison to attend his wedding because he claimed that he would lose a $6,000 deposit if he canceled the event.

Police say Shomshe wed Belinda Dulevski and then reportedly fled while she was in the shower. Shomshe spent a week on the run before authorities nabbed the runaway groom.

Dulevski, who forfeited $10,000 bail that she paid for Shomshe's weekend release, says she still loves her husband despite his disappearing act.
