High chairs sold on Amazon recalled for fall and entrapment risk

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for the Boyro Baby convertible high chairs that are sold on Amazon.

The recall affects more than 5,000 units.

Why you should care:

The commission said the high chairs present a serious fall risk to babies because the restraint system is not secured to the product and the locks or latches can fail.

They also pose an entrapment hazard, as the gap between the seat and tray is large enough for a child to become trapped.

These issues violate federal safety regulations for high chairs, according to the commission.

Dig deeper:

This recall affects Boyro Baby-branded 4-in-1 high chairs, which were sold in green, gray, and pink.

The chairs feature a removable seat cushion, detachable tray, footrest, and storage space beneath the seat. They can be converted into a low chair, rocking chair, or slide.

They were sold on Amazon from October 2023 through November 2024 for between $70 and $90.

So far, no injuries have been reported.

What you can do:

The commission advises consumers to immediately stop using the recalled high chairs, disassemble them, and contact Boyro Baby for refund instructions.

The process includes cutting the restraint system and seat cushions, then emailing photos of the disassembled and destroyed parts to boyrobaby@outlook.com.

After receiving the photos, Boyro Baby will issue a full refund.
