A.J. Brown reads inspirational book on sideline during Eagles playoff win
A.J. Brown had a novel ideal to pass time on the bench during Philadelphia's wild-card playoff game.
The book, released in 2020 and sold for $18 on Amazon, promises readers it will "train your mind for extraordinary performances and the best possible life."
"Looks like I'm ordering a book, Go Birds." a review posted Monday morning read.
Brown told reporters after the game that he often reads on the sidelines as a way to refocus.
"I always revert back to the beginning of the book. It states if you can just have a clear mind and remember that nothing else matters, clear conscience, nothing matters negative or positive. You're willing to take risks. It also says if you're humble, you can't be embarrassed."
Murphy's bio on his website says he's a former minor league outfielder and a mental skills coach to professional athletes. Murphy said he worked with another Eagles player who recommended the book to Brown.
The Eagles will turn the page on the Wild Card round and turn their attention to the Washington Commanders, who punched their ticket to a divisional round match-up against their NFC East foes after squeaking by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a last second field goal.
