Norristown, Pa. (WTXF)--A Montgomery County man went to extremes to make a statement. He showed up at his local bank with a wheel barrel.
The man named Steve Pitrowski filled that wheel barrel with 50,000 pennies. He's using the coins to pay his school property taxes. On Friday, he had to pay up before his home went up for sheriff's sale. So why did he wait? He told FOX 29, " This is a symbolic statement against taxation and tyranny."
Piotrowski went to 15 banks to get the pennies in boxes for Friday's delivery. He's calling for an end to property taxes.
