Man arrested 7 weeks after spray-painting graffiti incident

One of three men suspected of spray-painting graffiti on the side of a building almost two months ago is now under arrest.

Philadelphia police say back on Aug. 5 at 4am, three unknown men were captured on surveillance video spray-painting the side of a building on the 1000 block of Foulkrod Street in Frankford.

One was seen painting "RMD" onto the white portion of the building and a second actually admired his work by taking a picture with his cell phone.

Then, the vandals left the area in an unknown direction, but police are thanking the media for airing the video and the public for watching, since detectives got an anonymous tip identifying Moises Santiago as one of the three.

Sunday, officers visited his Oxford Circle home and took him to Northeast Detectives, where he was positively identified as one of the suspects.

Santiago, 27, is charged with criminal mischief and possessing instruments of crime.

No information has been released on the others allegedly with him.
