Man robs West Kensington Dunkin Donuts at gunpoint

Police are searching for a man who they say robbed a West Kensington Dunkin Donuts on Thursday.

The incident occurred at 532 West Lehigh Avenue at 4:40 p.m.

According to a press release, an unknown black male entered the establishment, made a purchase, and then left.

20 minutes later, the same male returned with his face covered with a scarf and approached a 23-year-old male employee armed with a handgun and demanding money from the cash register.

After the employee gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money, he fled and was last seen running east on Lehigh Avenue towards 5 th Street.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, light complexion, 5'10"-6'0", with a thin build and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers with white laces and orange trim.
