Mercer County Narcotics Task Force seizes more than 400K in drugs
TRENTON, NJ (WTXF) - A month long investigation in Mercer County, New Jersey by the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force nets more than $430,00 in drugs, seizure of cash and three arrests were made.
Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri made the announcement.
The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office, along with the Hamilton and Trenton Police Departments, executed multiple search warrants October 12.
Investigators say a search of a residence on Juniper Way, in Hamilton, revealed a small amount of marijuana and $11,000 in cash. Felix Feliciano was detained at this residence.
According to the Prosecutor's Office, a different search on East Brown Street, in Hamilton, revealed 137 pounds of marijuana. The marijuana was found in heat-sealed bundles and marked with brand names. The search also revealed $63,300 in cash and 672 vials of THC oil. Richard Bruno was charged in this matter.
Investigators say that a third search resulted in Joseann Sonera being taken into custody at his residence on Tyler Street in Trenton. A search of that property resulted in investigators finding 20 grams of powder cocaine, a cocaine press and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Detective Sergeant Brian Kiely, of the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force, relayed the combined marijuana found has an approximate street value of $411,000. The THC oil has an approximate value of $23,500. Kiely also stated that two bank accounts in Bruno's name totaled more than $91,000 in drug sale proceeds. Those accounts were ordered frozen.
Feliciano, Bruno and Sonera each are facing multiple charges.
