Missing NJ mom found dead after toddler found safe, police say

Pennsylvania State Police have canceled an Amber Alert for a 2-year-old boy after he was located early Saturday morning.

The young boy and his young mother were believed by police to have been abducted by the boy's father in northern New Jersey.

Police said Sebastian Rios had not been seen since Thursday in Rahway with his 27-year-old father Tyler Rios.

Hours later, Pennsylvania State Police also launched an Amber Alert searching for Sebastian and his 24-year-old mother Yasemin Uyaf.

Uyaf has been confirmed dead, according to authorities. Investigators located Uyar’s body in a wooded area nearby, off of I-40. Uyaf's cause of death has not been confirmed.

Tyler Rios remains in custody in Tennessee pending extradition back to New Jersey and the filing of criminal charges in Union County Superior Court.

Rios, 27, of Highland Park is charged with first-degree kidnapping in connection with the alleged abduction of 2-year-old Sebastian and additional criminal charges are pending in connection with the death of 24-year-old Yasmine Uyar of Rahway.
