Multiple injured in Virginia State University shooting; campus on lockdown

ETTRICK, Va. - Police are investigating a shooting at Virginia State University that left multiple people injured, authorities said Friday.
What we know:
Virginia State University said the shooting happened near the Quad Annexes, in the area of Boisseau Street and Third Avenue.
Multiple people were shot and taken to area hospitals. The university said none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening.
VSU said the shooting involved multiple suspects.

Virginia State University remains on lockdown as VSU Police and Chesterfield County Police investigate.
The university and Chesterfield County Police are asking people to avoid the area. Students and the campus community should follow law enforcement instructions.
