New footage released of attempted rape suspect

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police are hoping that new video will help them catch the man who assaulted a young woman in South Philadelphia.

Police say this man attempted to rape a 19-year-old woman on the 1300 block of Wharton Street two weeks ago.

The victim was able to mace the attacker who then ran away from the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid to late thirties standing around 5'7". If you have any information you are asked to call police.
