New Jersey man arrested after search warrant leads to large seizure of heroin, cocaine

Police executing a search warrant in Absecon, New Jersey on Friday ended up yielding a large amount of heroin and cocaine.

Responding to a citizen complaint of drug activity, Absecon Police searched an apartment in the Clayton Mill Run Apartment Complex on South New Road across from Holy Spirit High School.

That search yielded approximately 3 kilograms (106 ounces) of suspected heroin, 3 ounces of suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia associated with the manufacturing, packaging and distribution of controlled dangerous substances.

The investigation lead to the arrest of 33-year-old Ismael Martinez of Egg Harbor Township. Martinez was charged with operating a CDS production facility, manufacturing, distributing and dispensing CDS, possession of CDS and other drug paraphernalia charges.

Martinez was also charged with the offenses while being in a school zone due to the proximity to Holy Spirit High School.
