Pedestrian struck and killed in Northeast Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Philadelphia Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed in Northeast Philadelphia.
Police report a car was traveling south at 6300 Roosevelt Boulevard and Bustleton Avenue about 10:15 Monday night when the vehicle struck a pedestrian.
Police say the car did stop at the scene.
The driver told police he had the green light. He said the pedestrian entered the crosswalk against the light.
The 43-year-old victim was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital and succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing. No charges were immediately filed.
