Police: 2 teens sought in Overbrook armed assault

Police are asking for the public's help identifying two teenagers in the assault of two young girls in the Overbrook section of the city.

The incident happened around 1:05 p.m. on the 6200 block of Lebanon Avenue on Dec. 19.

Authorities say the two young girls were walking when the suspects followed and approached them. The suspects pointed guns at the victims and grabbed one of the girls while making harassing comments.

The suspects then fled -- one boarded a SEPTA trolley and the other fled west on Lebanon Avenue.

The first suspect is described as a 5-foot-7 black male with a light complexion, approximately 17 or 18 years old. He wore a green jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The second suspect is also described as a 5-foot-7 black male, approximately 17 or 18 years old, with a dark complexion. He had a medium build and was wearing a blue jean jacket over a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
