Emotional family members and friends gathered outside of a Northampton Township, Bucks County home where the bodies of a young married couple were found Tuesday morning on North Kitty Knight Drive.

Investigators say the man and woman who were in their late 20s had a relative visiting them Monday night until after 10 p.m. but was Tuesday morning when detectives say a painter found the bodies while going inside to use the bathroom. There are also questions about a rifle found in the home.

"We're trying to determine whether the rifle was from the house or if it was brought into the house. We don't know that at this point," Northampton Township Police Chief Michael Clark said.

Cops say the couple lived in the house for about a year with no known issues. One of their cars is missing and police are looking for leads on the person responsible for the deaths.

"We have no idea who this was. At this point and unfortunately, these people just happened to be in a house that was just targeted from this guy for some reason," Chief Clarks said.

Police are expected to provide more information at a press conference Wednesday afternoon. You can watch the press conference on FOX29.com or on the FOX 29 Facebook page.
