Police ID man, 23, killed in Southwest Philly shooting

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police are investigating after a shooting left one man dead in Southwest Philadelphia.

Officials say a 23-year-old man was shot multiple times near South 55th Street and Kingsessing Avenue just before 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Police have since identified the victim as Perry Young of North Felton Street.

Young was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in critical condition. He was pronounced dead just after 4 p.m. Monday.

A weapon was recovered from the scene. No arrests have been made at this time.
