Police ID man killed in apparent pharmacy robbery attempt
LEVITTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Authorities have identified a man shot and killed by a suburban Philadelphia pharmacy owner during an apparent robbery attempt last week.
The Bucks County district attorney's office said Monday that 33-year-old Willie Bozarth of Sewall, New Jersey, was the man killed just before 10am Friday at the Pennsbury Pharmacy.
Lt. Henry Ward of the Falls Township police department said the gunman got out of the passenger seat of a minivan in the parking lot and walked into the pharmacy wearing a Halloween mask and carrying a shotgun.
Ward said the man went behind the store counter before the pharmacist fired nearly a dozen rounds at him. Police arrested another man in the van outside, which turned out to be stolen.
