Police investigate shooting outside Camden bar

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office and Camden County Police Department are seeking the public's assistance in identifying three men allegedly involved in a robbery and fatal shooting in Camden.

Police say the victim, Jamir Syms, 23, of Camden was found lying on the sidewalk after Camden County Police responded at approximately 8:33 p.m. on Thursday (10/20/16) to the 700 block of Chestnut Street in reference to multiple 911 calls.

Syms was transported to Cooper University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at approximately 8:43 p.m., according to authorities.

Investigators say three males believed to be involved in the incident are captured on surveillance footage. These men are considered armed and dangerous, according to police. Members of the public should not approach these men, but should call police if they have information pertaining to their identity or whereabouts.
