Police investigating woman's 'possible abduction' with baseball bat

Philadelphia police are investigating what they're calling a "possible abduction" in the city's Juniata section.

They report a witness told them a man hit a woman with a baseball bat, and then forced her into a car.

The witness said it happened just before 9pm Sunday, on the 600 block E. Erie Avenue, and he saw a man get out of a car - possibly a Chevy Cruze or Toyota Corolla with tinted windows - and then hit the woman in her head with a baseball bat.

That witness said the man then dragged the woman, who had short blonde hair and was wearing scrubs, into the car and drove away, eastbound on Erie and then northbound on G Street.

The man reportedly had a beard and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants.

The police Special Victims Division is investigating but add there is no report of a missing person at this time.
