Police: Man Fires Semi-Automatic Weapon Into Crowded Home Injuring Two

Police are looking for a man they say fired a semi-automatic weapon through the front door of a home in the Frankford section of Philadelphia that injured two.

The incident occurred on the 4600 block of Hedge Street shortly before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

One man suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and is listed in critical condition at Aria Torresdale Hospital. A woman was also injured and taken to Temple University Hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Police say 9 other people, including 7 kids, were also inside the house at the time.

Investigators are hoping surveillance cameras in the area can help lead them to the suspect. Witnesses say the suspect wore a red t-shirt and was driving a white SUV.
