Police: Prisoner escapes from hospital

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) Police say they are searching for a prisoner who escaped from a hospital.

It happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to police, 24-year-old Hassan Mikell escaped from Kintok Halfway House employees at Episcopal Hospital. Police describe him as 5'8", 175 lbs, with a beard and tear drop tattoo on his face. He was wearing all black clothing and black Timberland boots. Police say he has has a GPS device on his ankle.

Police continue to search for the man at this hour.
