Police release photo of new person of interest in Yeadon stabbing

YEADON, Pa. (WTXF) - Yeadon police say a man previously wanted for questioning in connection with a deadly stabbing Thursday morning has been cleared, as photos of a new person of interest have been released.

Investigators previously sought 35-year-old Mark Epps, of West Philadelphia, for questioning in the stabbing death of 32-year-old Natasha Gibson. Epps is no longer a person of interest after he was interviewed by police Thursday night.

Police have now released new video of an unidentified person of interest from inside a convenience store.

Thursday Yeadon Police Chief Donald Molineux told FOX 29's Dave Kinchen a family friend was expecting Gibson at 11:30pm, but she didn't show up. Instead, that friend saw her lying on the steps in the 600 block of Baily Road, across from the police station, and called police.

Officers responded and found Gibson with a severe throat laceration. She was bleeding and unresponsive, and pronounced dead at the scene.

The chief also said investigators tracked blood droplets around Yeadon, Regional Rail tracks, eastbound on Baltimore Avenue and 61st Street, to 58th and Cobbs Creek Parkway.

They had used dogs to track the killer, but the canines lost the trail 59th and Christian.
