Police search for Chestnut Hill restaurant robbers

Two robbers struck an Asian restaurant in Chestnut Hill over the weekend. Police say they stole from both the register and employees, and they're hoping you can help catch them.

It happened Saturday night, just after 10, at the Thai Kuu Restaurant on Bethlehem Pike. Two men armed with a handgun ordered everyone on the floor.

Then, police say one robber went to the cash register and took money, while the other took money and a cell phone from two employees. No injuries were reported.

Both robbers got away on foot and were last seen heading east on Summit Street.

One suspect had a mask partially covering part his face. He was described as having a stocky build, and wearing a black and gray hooded sweatshirt with "ADIDAS" on the front, gloves, dark-colored pants. He had the silver handgun.

The other had his face covered but had a stocky build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pullover, dark-colored pants, white sneakers and gloves.

If you recognize them or know where they are, you're asked to call 215-686-TIPS (8477), text a tip to PPDTIP (773847), or click here to submit a tip anonymously. Police say all tips will be confidential.
