Police searching for a suspect in shooting incident in South Philadelphia

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police are searching for man suspected in a shooting incident in South Philadelphia.

Philadelphia Police say that at 1:15 a.m. on August 21, 2016, the victim was at the intersection of 12th & South Streets when a black BMW nearly struck the complainant's vehicle.

While at the intersection words were exchanged with occupants of the BMW when moments later the suspect exited the black BMW and shot at the victim several times, striking the victim's vehicle, before fleeing the area in an unknown direction.

Police describe the suspect as a black male wearing white shirt, khaki bucket hat, black shorts, white socks and white sneakers.
