Prosecutors: NJ man used neighbor's WiFi to access child porn

CLEMENTON, N.J. (AP) -- Prosecutors say a New Jersey man used his neighbor's WiFi to download thousands of child porn images and hundreds of videos.

Camden County authorities executed a search warrant at a Clementon home on Sept. 1. But after speaking with the homeowners, they determined that they were not involved.

After learning the WiFi wasn't password protected, authorities say they determined that 55-year-old Louis LaSalle was using it to download child porn to a laptop computer.

Investigators say they found more than 33,000 images and more than 700 videos on the laptop. They also confiscated a wireless router he allegedly used to connect to his neighbor's Wi-Fi.

LaSalle was charged with possessing and distributing child porn. His bail was set at $150,000, and it wasn't known Monday if he's retained an attorney.
