Protesters demanded answers after police shot and killed Christopher Sowell. Police say Sowell had stabbed four people, including two children. But today, Black Lives Matter activists wanted an explanation for why police discharged their weapons more than 100 times.

"The conversation is being had. The investigation is being conducted. The officers' names, as we said, were released within 72 hours, which is part of the 91 recommendations. We are working our way through this very difficult situation. I appreciate you being here and you expressing your concerns. I think they are legitimate concerns," Mayor Kenney said.

Mayor Kenney shook hands with the protesters at the end of the exchange.
