Radnor High School Lockdown Lifted

Radnor High School was placed on lockdown Monday morning after a round of ammunition was found in a hallway. But all students were sent home as scheduled at the end of the day.

"Due to the discovery of a single round of ammunition in an RHS hallway on the morning of Dec. 7, the school entered a Level 2 Lockdown around 12:30 p.m. to allow police officers and trained police canines to perform a full sweep the building," according to an announcement on the school district's website Monday.

No threat or danger has yet been discovered, and all students and staff are reported safe, the message said.

According to a tweet from the Radnor School District, all district schools were dismissed on time Monday after the security of the facility was secured.

According to officials, a Radnor police officer will be at Radnor High School Tuesday morning to provide additional reassurance for faculty, staff and students. A security officer will also be present at the high school throughout the evening and into tomorrow morning.
