Sex offender charged with luring, sexually assaulting 15-year-old girl in NJ boarding house

Authorities in New Jersey say a convicted sex offender lured a teenage girl to a boarding house and sexually assaulted her over a five-month period.

The Essex County Prosecutor's Office said Friday that 42-year-old Michael Bordo was charged with sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and luring.

A message was left with a public defender listed for him.

Prosecutors say the 15-year-old girl was lured from southern New Jersey to East Orange. The victim's mother discovered inappropriate text messages on the teenager's iPad.

Bordo is currently being held at Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark.
