Suspect sought in East Frankford shooting
EAST FRANKFORD (FOX 29) - Police are investigating a shooting in East Frankford that left one man wounded.
Officials say a 24-year-old man was shot once in the upper back on the 500 block of Jackson Street shortly before 3:00 p.m.
The victim was found on nearby Wakeling Street and Cottage Street, according to detectives.
Police say the man is currently in stable condition at Frankford-Torresdale Hospital.
Policle have not made any arrests at this time, but say they are searching for a black man wearing a New England Patriots jersey who was allegdly spotted driving in the area of the gun fire.
The shooting and subsequent police activity put both Frankford High School and Harding Middle School on lock down for a short period of time.
The investigation is ongoing.
