Suspect sought in sex assault of girl, 14, in Kensington

Philadelphia police are searching for a man they say sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl inside his car after offering to give her a ride to a family member's house.

Philadelphia police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating a suspect they say sexually assaulted a teenage girl last week.

The victim was walking on the 3100 block of Frankford Avenue last Tuesday around 1 a.m. after police say she left her home.

Police say the 14-year-old girl encountered an adult male at a Sunoco gas station who offered to give her a ride to her aunt's home.

The man then took her to his car and told her to sit inside. 

Once in the vehicle, police say the man sexually assaulted the teen.
