Suspected road rage crash overturns Jeep, traps driver

A man is in the hospital after police say he was injured in a crash that stemmed from a suspected road rage incident in Overbrook Park.

The crash happened at City Avenue and 77th Street around 10 p.m. Thursday night.

Police say two drivers were involved in a 'cat and mouse' type game that led to one car clipping another car.

A Jeep careened into a tree and then overturned, trapping the driver inside. Police say the other driver fled the scene.

Investigators are now searching for the other driver, as well as any witnesses.

The 22-year-old driver of the Jeep was taken to Lankenau Hospital in critical condition. A female passenger was not seriously injured.
