Taco Restaurant Mocks Burglars With Video

A group of burglars who attempted to break into a Las Vegas taco restaurant last week found themselves doubly humiliated: Not only did they fail to come away with any cash, but the restaurant put together an elaborate video mocking that very failure.

The robbery took place at around 3:30 a.m. last Wednesday at the Frijoles & Frescas restaurant in Las Vegas. The thieves are caught on security video throwing a rock at a window, failing, making it in on the second try, and then rummaging around the restaurant in a failed attempt to steal cash, or perhaps tacos. The register, however, had been emptied earlier in the night so the thieves came away empty-handed of both cash or food.

Shortly after the robbery, the restaurant put together a video, complete with silly music and captions that implied the thieves weren't there to steal money, but rather the restaurant's delicious food. The video concludes with a commercial for the restaurant's food, as well as a message to call Las Vegas Metro Police in case anyone watching recognizes the burglars:

These nice gentlemen came looking for tacos...we think. Please call 702-385-5555 - LVMPD Crime Stoppers - with any information or tips.
