Transit workers to vote on contract that ended SEPTA strike
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Friday night a vote is scheduled to take place on that contract that ended a weeklong SEPTA transit strike.
However, there is word that the contract may not be approved by union leaders.
President of TWU local 234 told Philly.com that he was sure he had enough votes but was worried about low turnout.
If the union rejects the contract, it does not mean the workers will go back on strike, but instead, back to the bargaining table.
Results should be available by 9:00 p.m. Friday night
