Two men rob Southwark East deli at gunpoint

South Detectives are searching for two men who robbed a deli in Southwark East on Saturday.

The incident occurred at El Oasis Deli located on the 1600 block of South 6 th Street at 6:50 p.m.

According to police, two unknown black males wearing mask were captured on surveillance video approaching the deli as they walked south on 6 th Street from Tasker.

When the men entered, they immediately pulled out handguns and demanded that a 22-year-old female employee open the cash register.

The employee complied with the demands and handed the suspects an undetermined amount of money.

The men also took two iPhones - one pink, one silver - that were behind the counter area and then fled. They were last seen north on 6 th Street and then west Tasker Street.

No injuries were reported.

Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 20-years-of-age, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black ski mask, gray sweatpants, dark-colored boots, and armed with a handgun.

Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 20-years-of-age, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with bubble letters on the front and back, light-colored jeans, and armed with a handgun.
