Two More Jewelers' Row Abduction Suspects Plead Guilty

Two more suspects have pleaded guilty in connection with a botched robbery and kidnapping involving a Philadelphia jewelry store employee.

In court Wednesday , Salahudin Shaheed, 35 and Basil Buie, 24, plead guilty to conspiracy, kidnapping, and attempted Hobbs Act Robbery.

Khayree Gay, the third suspect, also previously plead guilty.

Buie and Shaheed are scheduled to be sentenced in January of 2016.

Authorities say Shaheed recruited Buie and Gay, to rob National Watch and Diamond Exchange on the 100 block of South 8th Street.

The defendants then conducted surveillance on the store and its employees from a parking lot on Chestnut Street.

On April 4, 2015, the three men tased and abducted a female employee in a parking garage in an attempt to and obtain keys and security codes.

Each defendant is facing a maximum sentence of life in prison, five years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $750,000.
