Vote held today to select Philly's interim District Attorney

A vote is being held Thursday afternoon to select Philadelphia's interim District Attorney.

The 88 judges of the Court of Common Pleas will hold a vote by secret ballot at 4 p.m. in City Hall.

Yesterday, the 14 candidates seeking to serve the five and a half month term held presentations for the judges.

The post was left vacant when former District Attorney Seth Williams resigned last month after pleading guilty to bribery during his federal corruption trial.

Williams is being held in the Federal Detention Center and will be sentenced in October.
