Worker struck by trash truck in Ridley Park

RIDLEY PARK, PA (WTXF) - A trash worker is dead after he was struck by the truck when he was caught in the blind spot while hustling to the next stop, according to police.

The incident happened shortly before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say the worker was a 9-year vet of the business and was 28 years old. His identity has not been released at this time.
