Eagles fans cautious after narrow Giants win

When the Birds take care of business against the Oakland Raiders Christmas night, they'll be riding high on a pre-holiday gift in the form of backup quarterback Nick Foles, which lead to an Eagles win against the New York Giants on Sunday.

Fans, young and old alike, had plenty to say about the game.

"I feel Foles did pretty good. Just had to like calm down a little. He should run some, but he has to be cautious," said one young fan.

Foles fired off four touchdown passes with no interceptions. Not bad at all with Carson Wentz sidelined.

Fans watching at Chickie's and Pete's in South Philly saw nervous moments give way to renewed faith.

"It was close all the way through," one fan told FOX 29.

"I told everybody man, they cannot doubt Foles. I told everybody we was going to do it and I knew we was going to do it. You see what my shirt says, we turn Giants into midgets. Yeah, yeah, you know we got it!" exclaimed one enthusiastic fan.

Critical eyes were watching, too.

"Defense. They gave up too many points. Too many points," another fan stated.

Still, 12-2 makes the future look pretty promising.

"We need home field advantage throughout the playoffs, to get to the Super Bowl," said one fan.

"Just wanna send out some shout outs to Wentz, his recovery. I hope he makes the Super Bowl," one fan said.
