Temple dominates in huge win against SMU, 45-20

Temple University pulled out an impressive victory over SMU Saturday afternoon.

The Owls won 45-20 over the Mustangs.

The game started out shakily for the Owls, with SMU's Jordan Wyatt returning an interception for a 35-yard touchdown.

However, the Owls' Jahad Thomas followed that with a 12-yard touchdown. According to Temple Football, that touchdown tied Thomas for the 3 rd all-time on Temple's individual touchdown list with a total of 25.

Next up, Ventell Bryant scored again for the Owls, and then Ryquell Armstead.

The Owls led the Mustangs 21-7 at the end of the first quarter.

Thomas scored again for the Owls, followed by Romond Deloatch after Haason Reddick caused Ben Hicks to fumble the ball.

SMU fought back, scoring a 13 yard touchdown pass, but the Owls still led 35-14, which they entered half-time with.

Austin Jones then scored a 30-yard kick for a field goal, sending the Owls up 3 points to lead 38-14.

SMU's James Proche then scored a touchdown, sending their score up to 20.

But Temple's Armstead scored his second touchdown of the game.

Temple then closed out the game 45-20.
