Sunshine and seasonable temperatures will dominate the weekend across the Delaware Valley, but forecasters are tracking a system of rain on Halloween that could dampen trick-or-treating plans.

The weekend is set to be sunny and pleasant in the Delaware Valley, but rain won't stay away for too long as a low-pressure system is expected to bring spotty showers to the area for Halloween and Game 3 of the World Series at Citizens Bank Park.

Ten years after Superstorm Sandy slammed into New Jersey, causing massive devastation along the shore towns and inland, Atlantic City still isn't quite fully recovered.

After days of inconvenient drizzle and fog, conditions will be dry and cool in the Delaware Valley, but rain is on the way for Halloween and Game 3 of the World Series.

Dense cloud cover will give way to sunshine and cooler temperatures for the rest of the week, but forecasters believe the rain could return early next week to threaten the World Series in Philadelphia on Halloween night. 

Wednesday morning will feature more inconvenient weather across the Delaware Valley as fog and spotty showers move through the area ahead of a cloudy afternoon.
