Excessive heat warning in effect Friday, heat wave to continue
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - An excessive heat warning will be effect for our area Friday until 8 p.m. It will feel like 100 degrees + and we will once again be challenging record heat, as our longest heat wave of the year drags into its fourth day.
Relief does not seem to be in sight, as Monday will most likely mark the 7th day in the heat wave.

The ocean water temperatures will be close to the land temperatures, according to FOX 29's Kathy Orr. The UV Index will be very high during the day, so grab that sunscreen!
The city of Philadelphia issued a heat health emergency which means the heat hotline is up and running, along with the cooling centers. The PCA Heatline number is (215)-765-9040.
Temperatures in the 90s will continue through Monday. We will get a break from the heat on Wednesday.
Each of the next several days will bring a change for an afternoon storm or shower.
FRIDAY: Mostly Sunny, a Pop-Up Shower, Storm. Low: 78. High: 98.
SATURDAY: Partly Sunny, an Afternoon Storm. Low: 77. High: 93.
SUNDAY: Clouds and Sun, an Afternoon Shower/Storm. Low: 75. High: 92.
MONDAY: Hot and Humid, an Afternoon Storm. Low: 75. High: 90.
