Weather Authority: Humid Wednesday with heavy downpours

The Philadelphia region is slated for more of the same Wednesday: high humidity and scattered storms.

A Flash Flood watch will be in effect through late Wednesday in Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Lehigh, Northampton, Berks and Delaware counties in Pennsylvania, as well as New Castle and Kent Counties in Delaware. In New Jersey, Camden, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Ocean, Salem and Sussex counties are also affected.

The region's unsettled weather pattern continues, bringing the chance of soaking rains and flooded streets. Residents are urged to avoid driving through water.

Several rounds of showers and storms are expected for the remainder of this week, though relief is possible by the weekend.
