Cacia's Bakery once again opens its brick oven to public for Thanksgiving
SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Residents from all over Philadelphia are once again 'flocking' to a South Philadelphia bakery on Thanksgiving Day in order to cook their turkeys in their famous brick oven!
Every year around 6 a.m. Thanksgiving Day Cacia's Bakery opens its doors to the public, allowing them to roast their turkeys in their oven.
The practice has become such a tradition; lines have begun to form outside the bakery up to an hour before they open.
FOX 29's Bill Anderson stopped by the store on Thursday morning where dozens of turkeys waiting to be cooked had been piled up.
Employees say 2016 year was their largest turnout as they cooked nearly 140 turkeys in their brick oven.
