10-year-old reported missing from North Philadelphia found safe

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - A missing 10-year-old from North Philadelphia has been found.

Philadelphia Police confirmed Sunday afternoon that Sahmyir Dixon has been located and is safe.

According to his mother, the missing boy, Sahmyir Dixon, was last seen on Friday at 7:30 a.m. and reported missing on Saturday at 7:10 a.m.

He went missing from the area of the 2000 block of North 22 nd Street.

He is described as a 10-year-old black male, 4'8" in height, and weighs 95 pounds.

Dixon was last seen wearing tan pants, a royal blue long sleeve shirt, black boots, and a tan and brown coat. He was also carrying an orange book bag.

Dixon has no mental issues and is left handed.
