2 Officers, Firefighter and Resident Injured in House Fire

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) SkyFOX was live over a house fire in North Philadelphia on Tuesday night.

Flames erupted around 7:56 p.m. Tuesday on the 1800 block of North Taylor Street.

According to police, two officers, both assigned to the 22 nd District, were injured while responding to the house fire. Police say both officers were transported to Temple University Hospital and placed in stable condition. They are expected to be treated and released.

A Philadelphia Fire Department Lieutenant and civilian were also injured in the blaze. According to police, the fire lieutenant was hit in the face by some debris. He was taken to Hahnemann with injuries non-life threatening. The resident was transported to the hospital with smoke inhalation.

The fire has since been put out by firefighters.

No word on the cause.
